Creative Jumpstart 2015.

I've been having a ball playing along at CJS 2015 and loving all of the  tutorials we have been shown. .........all very inspirational.  I hope to have a go at each and every one of them.  This one is a Mixed media collage inspired by Jimmy Leslie.  I started this on a small scale 8 x 8 but it got added to a 12x12 and I just kept going and going and going, adding and adding. lol

so this is how it started.......

and ended like this...........extending the fabric diamond shapes out with paint and a whole lot more lol until I now have an opening page for another of my 2015 albums.

I also had a play with the fabulous tutorial from Natalya Aikens (#11).   Absolutely loved doing this.
I was a bit worried at first as to what photo/s to use but then I found some pics I had taken of these lovely bright little portulacas in my garden.

So after having a play with colours so that they would suit the room that I wanted them to go in, I ended up with 3 little canvas' all ready to hang.  I think I'll pop a thin piece of board behind them to get them in line and hang them up as one.  I can imagine how crooked they will appear on my wall if I hung them individually.

  5. Oh Deb - I'm laughing at how your 8x8 , like Topsy, kept growing! I've started on the photo video, but it will have to wait until I get back from a teaching weekend. Wonderful post - love all the work!
