Let's Get Shabby..........

Challenge 37 is up at LGS and the challenge is to be inspired by this picture.  As soon as I saw those paint brushes I knew I wanted to start with a "blank canvas" and create the background for my LO.  I hadn't even thought about a photo for it. (so I took one while I was waiting for the last lot of paint to dry. lol.)   I pulled out a piece of plain cardstock and began painting and this is what I ended up with.

and a close up of some of the painting.  The photo is a close up of a cup and saucer that was given to me when I was a kid......a long time ago.  I can remember getting many a cup and saucer for a birthday or Christmas presents when I was a kid and a piece of material was another fav to get as a gift for Mum to make me an outfit...................how old am I. sigh.

  2. Deb your page is great ! I can definitely see how the photo of the paint brushes has influenced your page. I love the background and the little flower details that mirror those on the cup and saucer. I also love that you have chosen such a simple photograph and made it "special'. Thanks for playing along with us at Lets Get Shabby.
